Ashanti Douglas, also known as Ashanti and was born in Glen Cove New York United States on October 13th 1980. She is an actor and singer from in the United States. Ashanti is a teen singer-songwriter and actress from America has been signed to Murder Inc. Records to release a single in 2002. The same year, she was featured with The Fat Joe's What's Luv? Also, she was featured on the Fat Joe's hit song"What's the Luv?" It was the first time for a female artist to take the top two spots on the Billboard Hot 100 list in the United States with Foolish at the top spot and What's Luv? What's Luv? Tina Douglas, her mother, is a retired dance instructor. Ken-Kaide Douglas is her father. Kenashia Schia Douglas, her younger sister is older.
